Spectator Information

Criterium racing returns to Portland with two days of fast and spectator-friendly racing and venues that are fun for the whole family.

Part bike race, part block party, the Portland Criterium presented by Steeplejack Brewing showcases our city with two car-free days of bicycles.

Saturday, August 15th – Park Blocks Criterium at the Portland North Park Blocks in the Pearl District
Sunday, August 16th – The Lloyd Criterium at the Lloyd Center and Holladay Park

Spectating is FREE!!!

We highly encourage folks to ride, walk or take Tri-Met to the races.

The Criterium style of bike racing is designed to be watched up close, with short laps (at 30+ mph) putting the racers directly in front of you every couple of minutes. Both venues for the Portland Criterium offer a scenic and kinetic setting for this brand of race spectating. Get a view of the group diving into each corner with a quick stroll around the course, or grab a front row spot at the finish line for the final sprint to glory. With plenty of bars and restaurants right in the neighborhood, you can make a weekend of it and watch this fast-paced style of racing unfold, lap after lap.
